Blue Jays Central 2019

As the lead graphic designer for Blue Jays Central, I continued to deliver real-time graphics support in a fast-paced, high-pressure broadcast environment, while taking on greater responsibility in shaping the visual system behind the show.
In addition to live execution, I was part of the design team that contributed to the redesign of the MLB/Blue Jays broadcast graphics package for the 2019 season. The previous system had become visually outdated and technically inefficient, often creating friction in live production. Our focus was to develop a modern, streamlined package that elevated the on-air look while improving usability behind the scenes.
Working from pre-show rundowns and in close collaboration with producers, I translated editorial direction into on-air graphics, designing and deploying visuals in real time using the updated system. Through simplified templates, optimized render performance, and a refreshed visual language aligned with current broadcast standards, we delivered a more flexible and reliable toolkit for production teams.
The result was a seamless integration of design and storytelling both in the moment and at the system level that enhanced the clarity, speed, and overall quality of the live broadcast experience.
